Virtual Pointe Shoe Fittings | Online Fittings with the R-Class Fitting System

Finding the right pointe shoes is essential for support, alignment, comfort, and performance. With R-Class virtual pointe shoe fittings, dancers across the United States can work directly with experienced professional fitters through our online fitting system. Our virtual fittings go beyond basic sizing. We evaluate the fit variables that matter most, including foot shape, toe length, toe taper, compressibility, arch flexibility, strength, current shoe wear patterns, platform needs, box shape, crown height, vamp height, and shank strength. Our recommendations are based on the R-Class fitting system, which evaluates how foot shape, toe length, flexibility, strength, box shape, vamp height, and shank strength work together to determine the best pointe shoe for each dancer.

HOW VIRTUAL POINTE SHOE FITTINGS WORK

1. Schedule your appointment

Complete the intake form so our team can prepare for your fitting and learn about your current shoes, training level, and fitting concerns.

2. Meet with an R-Class fitter online

During your first appointment, we assess your feet, discuss your current pointe shoes, and identify issues related to fit, support, alignment, and performance. Most first virtual appointments take about 30 minutes for one dancer.

3. We build recommendations using the R-Class fitting system

Your fitter evaluates multiple variables, including foot shape, toe length, compressibility, strength, flexibility, box shape needs, crown height, vamp height, and shank strength. Our recommendations are based on the R-Class fitting system, which evaluates how foot shape, toe length, flexibility, box shape, vamp height, and shank strength work together to determine the best shoe.

4. We decide the best next step

In some cases, we may recommend visiting a local authorized R-Class retailer. If shipping shoes is the best option, we typically ask the dancer to purchase 3 pairs while we send a box of 6 pairs to sample. This allows a broader fitting range without requiring purchase of every pair sent.

5. A second fitting is required

After the shoes arrive, we schedule a second virtual fitting. This follow-up is essential because we need to see the dancer in the recommended shoes before confirming the best fit or sending additional options.

6. Try the shoes on live during your follow-up

During the second appointment, the dancer should place the phone or computer on the floor, or have someone assist with filming, so we can properly assess placement, support, alignment, and how the shoe functions in motion.

7. Keep what works and return the rest

Keep the shoes that fit best and return the unworn pairs that do not work. Refunds are processed when returned shoes arrive. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. If no shoes are kept, the refund is issued minus the $35 fitting fee.1
